— ACUPUNCTURE—
Move qi and blood flow back into balance.
Acupuncture
60 minutes
Acupuncture is a technique used to move and balance qi and blood flow in the body. In Chinese medicine it is said that blockage of qi and blood flow is the root of all disease. The acupuncturist utilizes sterile stainless steel needles to stimulate acupuncture points which improve the circulation of qi and blood. The free flowing of qi/blood helps to facilitate optimum health.
Moxabustion (Moxa)
Based On Assessment
Moxabustion is the technique of burning an herb called mugwart over acupuncture points and along meridian channels. It is used to warm and unblock channels which can improve circulation.
Dual Massage & Acupuncture
70, 90 minutes
Our Dual Massage & Acupuncture treatment combines the restorative effects of massage with acupuncture to create a completely transformative experience. By introducing touch, practitioners are able to identify the deeper causes of certain pains/discomfort which allows the acupuncture to be even more effective.
Gua sha
Based On Assessment
Gua sha is a technique we use to get qi and blood flowing through tight muscles. First we put a light oil onto the skin and then briskly pass a soft edged tool over the area.
Cupping
Based On Assessment
Cupping helps muscles that are tight and may be causing other pain and/or structural imbalances. The cups are placed on the skin and then suction is applied via a small pump. Sometimes the cups stay stationary on one area and sometimes they are moved up and down the back. The suction pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system.
Based On Assessment
Cupping, Moxa, Gua sha
These techniques and tools are not provided as individual services but rather incorparated into your session based on the practitioner's assesment. *Requests are taken into consideration.
